This coin features two effigies of the Queen. Whilst the obverse, as you might expect, features the Jody Clark definitive portrait of Her Majesty, it’s the reverse that will get collectors excited.

You see, the reverse bears the Mary Gillick portrait of the young Queen Elizabeth II, which was the first effigy of Queen Elizabeth to feature on Australian coinage from 1953 to 1964.   

Remarkably low edition limit – 5,000 worldwide

The Perth Mint chose to release just 5,000 coins worldwide. Considering the inclusion of the historic Mary Gillick effigy, combined with the significant 95^th birthday, this is surely not enough for Australian collectors, let alone the rest of the world.
