QEII Definitive 50p Portraits Pack

Since decimalisation, four portraits of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II have featured on our coinage.

As the most highly collected of all UK coins, the 50p is celebrated within this pack – displaying each of the four Queen’s portraits that have appeared on 50p coins from 1968 to 2022.

Arnold Machin’s portrait of the Queen was the second to be created (the first being used on pre-decimal currency) and was issued between 1968 and 1984. The third portrait was created by Raphael Maklouf and issued between 1985 and 1997. Ian Rank-Broadley created the fourth portrait which was issued between 1998 and 2015. Jody Clark’s fifth and final effigy was issued between 2015 and 2022.

Including two older coins in the larger specifications and two newer coins in the current specification, this pack is the perfect way to preserve the history of our UK coinage.
