UK 1927 Proof Specimen Set
In 1927, The Royal Mint released 15,030 Specimen Proof Coin Collections to honour the reintroduction of the British silver Crown.
Last struck in 1902 for the Coronation of Edward VII, the 1927 Crown coin became a highly-anticipated collector’s piece.
With just 15,030 sets issued worldwide, these 1927 issues are much scarcer than their 1937 Proof Set counterparts. In fact, the Florin and Silver 3d never entered circulation, making them extremely collectable.
Out of the small number that still exist, just 9 are available in their original Royal Mint packaging.
And as one of our top Proof Set Collectors, here’s why this is perfect for you:
- Comprised of the 1927 British Silver Proof Wreath Crown, Half-Crown, Florin, Shilling, Sixpence, and Threepence
- Just 15,031 sets issued worldwide – that makes them even rarer than the 1937 Proof Set issued to mark George VI’s Coronation
- Fascinating history - also known as the "Christmas Crown" which was used as a seasonal gift for highly respected Bank of England customers
- Demand for this Proof is incredibly high – issues as rare as this are hardly ever seen on the secondary markets.
- Available in the original luxury Royal Mint presentation case
- JUST 9 AVAILABLE
But considering the scarcity of these historic pieces, this set must be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
