SOLD OUT AT THE MINT: The 2024 Canada Sundial Silver 1oz Coin
The sundial, as the earliest known timekeeping device, stands as an ancient symbol of human ingenuity.
As a first of its kind from the Royal Canadian Mint – this is an intricate, yet functional showcase of craftmanship.
It’s unsurprising that it’s already SOLD OUT at the Mint.
Features a Functional Gnomon
When placed in view of the sun and in the direction of true north, the gnomon embellishment casts an angled shadow onto the pure silver base to indicate local solar time.
See the detail of this piece for yourself in our video.
Extremely limited
There are 5,000 available worldwide, and we currently have just 75 available for Westminster Collectors. As the Royal Canadian Mint has already completely SOLD OUT, time is of the essence to secure one for your collection.
From the artist behind the stunning design:
“This has been, hands down, my favourite design challenge yet! There’s a lot of circular symmetry to be found here: some of the organic details are emanating from the sunflower representation of the sun, which supports the ornate gnomon, while others convey a more spiral-like movement that echoes the passage of time.”
Anna Bucciarelli, Artist
