2024 Australia Five-Coin Gold Sovereign Set
Founded in 1899 as a branch of The Royal Mint, The Perth Mint’s primary purpose was to refine gold and convert it into gold sovereigns, which were used as currency throughout the British Empire.
Honouring the 125th Anniversary of The Perth Mint’s first sovereign, a 5-coin Sovereign Collection, featuring the Full Sovereign, Half Sovereign, Quarter Sovereign, Double Sovereign and the Five Sovereign has been authorised for release.
What’s more, it is the first Australia Sovereign to be released featuring King Charles III.
- Unavailable on its own, this collection features the Half Sovereign struck from 22 Carat Gold to an impeccable proof finish.
- Each coin, struck from 22 Carat Gold features a brand new interpretation of the famous St George and the Dragon motif, originally featuring on the first Perth Mint Sovereign ever struck.

- Designed by renowned Royal Mint artist Dan Thorpe, this sovereign collection features the brand-new King Charles III portrait.
