The Masterpiece — crafted from THREE pieces of WWII metal

Issued in support of the Royal British Legion during its centenary year this is the Masterpiece Poppy. In terms of design, it's in a league of its own.

Struck from 5 ounces of Pure Silver, it’s the stunning 3-dimensional Poppy that stands this apart from any coin that has gone before it.

That poppy has been crafted from metal that has been taken directly from key components synonymous with WWII.

1. WWII Spitfire  to be precise, the MK356, which flew during the D-Day campaign and shot down a German Me Bf109.

2. Army mess tin from 1945 used by soldiers on the ground during WWII.

3. Landing Craft LCT7074 the actual craft that landed on the Normandy beaches on D-Day.
