Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of VE Day...

This year marks the 70th Anniversary of VE Day. Although there has not been any British Stamps of Coins released to mark the end of the Second World War, Guernsey have released a very special Coin Cover in commemoration of this historic event.

The 70th Anniversary of VE Day Coin Cover features official Liberation stamps from Guernsey, which have been postmarked on their first day of issue - 1st May, 2015. These stamps are a poignant release, as the Channel Islands were the only British soil that Germany was able to conquer.

Carefully encapsulated within the cover is an official Guernsey Treasury Proof £5 VE Day Coin, which has been issued especially to mark this 70th Anniversary and minted to the highest Proof finish. The coin features imagery of victorious soldiers and the crowds celebrating in a beautiful design.

With a strict edition limit of just 950 worldwide and exclusively available from The Westminster Collection,  it is expected that this cover will be very popular with collectors - secure yours today!
